Kansas City is known nationwide for its thriving art community and its close knit artists all trust one printer to recreate their work in print format – Mpress. On top of using the most technologically advanced offset and digital presses, Mpress’s staff also has an eye for detail. From exacting color matches to working side by side at the press with the artists to ensure every nuance is reproduced in print, we honor artists’ passion by doing their work justice in print.
“Kansas City, View from Penn Valley Park” by Wilbur Niewald (2003) was included in the artist’s catalog. Niewald is a Kansas City legend, having taught at the Kansas City Art Institute for 43 years and a recipient of many prestigious awards and fellowships. His paintings, dating back to the 1950s, are a history of his life’s work. This particular piece is one of many Kansas City landscapes he painted.
When the time came to reproduce his art in catalog format, Mpress was the printer of choice. We painstakingly reproduced colors to highlight the intricate details consistently on each and every catalog page. Printing an artist’s exhibition program or catalog requires an eye for art and detail. That’s why Kansas City’s artists trust Mpress with their print projects.
